Kurmmell W Knox was born in Detroit, Michigan. He was educated in the Detroit Public School System and is a proud graduate of Detroit Finney High School. Mr. Knox continued his education at Eastern Michigan University and earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees.
After graduation, Mr. Knox accepted a position with Ford Motor Company and after two years decided to attend Law School at the University of Toledo. Mr. Knox has been a practicing attorney since 1998 with a focus on advising small businesses. Due to his passion for entrepreneurship, he has left the full-time practice of law and became a business owner first as Chief Executive Officer of an International Freight Forwarder that operated worldwide (2007-2016). He is currently Principal Broker for Milagro Realty Group, LLC which is part of Milagro Group Holdings, LLC., co-owned with his wife Kimberly Reyes-Knox. Mr. Knox also serves as Legislative Policy Director for Senator Marshall Bullock and is the first African American member of the Roseville City Council. In his limited off time, he serves as Executive Pastor and Chairman of Trustees at his church, IMPACT Church, and also as a member of the Roseville Optimist Club. Kurmmell has lived in Roseville for 21 years with his wife Kimberly and sons Kristian and Kameron and their Cane Corso Kountessa.
Mr. Knox is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Mr. Knox also served on the Board of Directors for Omega Psi Phi Fraternity from 1990-1992 as the Undergraduate/Intermediate Representative and held responsibility for overseeing undergraduates in nine states. A Life Member, he also served 2 terms as District Representative for the 10th District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. which is comprised of the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Currently, he serves as the International Rules Chairman.
