Pavement Patch/Water Patch Program

The Water Department provides locations requiring concrete replacement due to water main breaks or sanitary sewer repairs and the Engineering Division prioritizes sections of the city streets for pavement patches and marks all areas for replacement. All concrete replacement is inspected by the Engineering Division.

Functions

Paving

Engineering personnel assess conditions of city streets and calculate costs necessary for re-paving to be presented each year for budget considering.

Permits

Engineering personnel issue all sidewalk, approach, curb cut and road patch permits for residential and commercial properties and performs all inspections. Engineering personnel issue all permits for work in the City of Roseville right-of-way. The right-of-way includes the sidewalk area, greenbelt and street. An accompanying bond is required for this permit on the City of Roseville bond form and the amount is set by the Engineering Division.

Grades

Engineering personnel set finished floor grades for new garages and set brick ledge grade for new houses. Drainage Engineering personnel assist residents in resolving rear yard drainage problems by providing solutions they can implement.

Plans

All civil engineering plans for new developments in the City are reviewed and approved by the consulting City Engineer on Thursdays at the Engineering Office.
